I saw war of the worlds today. I must say that I am easily impressed. Mainly due to the ease I can take on visual media and become absorbed into it. This is a way neat thing to do, kinda glad I kept up the day dreaming as a kid and the acid taking of a teenager, means I am a cheap thrill.
Anywho, on other news...
My handle lock on my front door collapsed on wed night as I came back before karate to get my belt. So I went to karate and had to wait around afterwards to get back into my house. It is all fixed now, had a fine talk with the locksmith who was showing me how to break into my house :) He is normally a safe locksmith and was telling me stories of what he has found inside safes he has opened. Way cool...
I had an argument with someone today over racisim. I was naughty and got angry with them while trying to explain that the us vs them attitude is a form of racisim no matter how innocent the comment may apear. Needless to say I had to stop the argument due to the person not listening to me after I raised my voice at them. I just have to be more pleasant when trying to help people see logic. I also have observed that the older generation are hard to talk to about it. I must admit that it must be hard to change opinions after a life time of being kept in the dark over things by the government and living through war (not just the world wars) people see it as still being patriotic to their homeland and dont realise they are being racist. This person today was going on about how people from other countries come and take australian jobs. My stand point is if they can come over here and do a better job then an australian citizen they can have the job. I am countryless, not very patriotic at all. I have been lucky to grow up not surrounded by us vs them and I like it this way, I have more fun in life due to the interactions I have with people from all over the world. I see the world as my country.
